Rise of the Guardians

Yes, we know Disney continues being the king in the vast territories of animation. As ancient Romans, with the conquer of Pixar, their domains remain powerful and wide.

Eventough I love Disney-Pixar combination, I'm truly happy watching competition coming closer and offering such as quality products as DreamWorks Animation did from Shrek and Madagascar trough How to teach your Dragon, where they appeal to the non-so-explored hysterical funny side of animation.

This year, DreamWorks Animation took a bigger risk with Rise of the Guardians: The first animated movie they do, that not only is funny (at times) but also explores the depth of fairy tales the old-way, with fantasy, magic and an amazing drawing quality that reminded me of Fox's Anastasia details (remember those scenes in the palace?).

But talking a little bit more of Rise of the Guardians, to me, it's definetly one of the movies to see in 2012. A tale of beliefs and magic both children and adults will love.
